    Our body, mind and spirit are deeply connected. We will work together on addressing each part and the way they work together. We will use Awareness Practices, discuss holistic therapies as well as mainstream treatments to work toward a result you want.

why health coaching?

You may be asking yourself why get a Health Coach? True. Not everyone will need one and I never had one. When I think about my challenges that started well over 10 years ago, and the arduous road I took, I very much see how I could have achieved results sooner with expert guidance and support. Had I understood the value of self advocacy and self empowerment and trust, I would have saved a ton of money, and very valuable and precious time to focus on other things. I would have lived with peace in my mind and freedom in my heart sooner. Nevertheless…

  5. You are ready to do the work with a Health Coach's support and guidance.

 Whether you just need a jumpstart or long term support, Health Coaching may be the right fit.

 You hold the compass and tell me where you want to go and I will help you figure out for yourself how to get there. I believe people can change when they want to change and are willing to make a commitment to hard work. I also believe the drive comes from within and any external stimulus is only good for stimulating that drive.

  1. You want to change, but are not willing to show up regularly for yourself and your sessions.

 Health coaching FAQs

  • We will usually begin by an Awareness Practice (similar to guided meditation). Then I will check in to see how you are doing and what you feel your progress is. We will work on establishing and meeting SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Action oriented, Realistic, Time lined).

    We will then spend time discussing how to meet them, what may be in the way and what will motivate you.

    The session will close with making a plan for our next session including a check-in email or text.

  • I can practice within my scope of practice as a Health Coach and will give you recommendations if you specifically request them. I do not give medical advice, but can recommend how to advocate for yourself with your healthcare providers. I will use my nearly 17 years of experience as an RN but I do not practice coaching under my RN license.

  • Goals are a dynamic, always evolving trajectory. They are not linear and if meeting goals was easy, we would have nothing to do! If you are struggling with meeting goals, we will look at why and examine what needs to be modified. Goal evaluation is part of every session.

    All these steps are a learning journey of self discovery and not failures.

  • With nearly 18 years experience as a Registered Nurse and over 10 years of experience as a patient with complex illnesses, I will be happy to assist in helping you create goals to meet your objectives in any way you need. You are always in control of what we work on. That could simply mean helping with complying with your doctor’s orders. However, I like to integrate all practices because I believe focusing on one part of the problem will probably not solve it. If you are having a hard time with sticking to what the doctor ordered, I would be most interested in knowing why and then we can work on the how.

  • Therapy and coaching go hand in hand. I encourage continuing work with your therapist while we work on your goals. While I can support your mental health goals and work towards attaining a higher level of health, I do not take on a role of a trained therapist. I can recommend modalities that may alleviate anxiety, depression and provide sense of calm and peace.
