online breathwork

online neurodynamic breathwork

  • Online sessions are done via Zoom and last about 2 hours. Each participant has to fill out and sign all paperwork before session starts. This paperwork (Medical Release and Liability Waiver) only needs to be signed once, before the first workshop.

We will start our session with an Introductory Talk (20-30 minutes) which will be followed by 60 minutes of specially crafted music. We close the session with a sharing circle.

  • A computer, tablet or phone with access to reliable internet/Wi-Fi.

A safe, quiet place where you can lay down on a mat with space around you. You can also use a bed or a recliner as long as you have enough room to move and there is no risk of falling and getting injured.

High quality over the ear headphones or a speaker are recommended.

Eye mask is highly recommended, but not required. This is a closed eye experience. My favorite are ‘Mindfold’ as it allows you to have your eyes open.

Blankets, pillows, water bottle and tissues.

  • It’s important that you practice online breathwork in a safe, clear space where you have room to move without clutter. For example a soft mat/mattress with at least 2 feet of room in every direction and at least one pillow on each side and under/by the head.

Never stand up during breathwork. This goes for in person and online. The safest position is to stay laying down, you may also sit up or get on all fours.

Never engage in movement that may do harm to yourself, others or property.

Follow the Contraindications list and let your facilitator know any health issues, medications, injuries.

Your facilitator will be available the entire time for support.

  • With an in person session, your facilitator will be there in person the entire time to support your process and keep you safe. I can assist with NeuroDynamic Release Work (releasing stuck physical pain or sensation if not released during the session - this is not common, but may happen). I will also be able to attend to your needs of handing you water, tissues etc.

For an online session, you need to make sure your space is safe (as described above and below). If you need release work, I will teach you how to do it on your own after the session. I will only be available through the Zoom chat window and may not get to you right away if there are others asking for assistance.

how to set up your space

The most important thing is SAFETY. Have enough room to move, put pillows around you and under/behind your head. Use a thicker mat or small mattress, pillows, blankets, water bottle that cannot spill, tissues, headphones and an eye mask.

The most important thing is SAFETY. Have enough room to move, put pillows around you and under your head. Rule of thumb: if you can do a ‘snow angel’ without hitting something, you are probably good. If you use a bed, make sure you’ll be safe if you were to fall. If you use a chair or a recliner, your movement will be restricted.
